Altruism to the core

So-called Selflessness

Being the only child of my parents, I was pampered from childhood especially by my grandparents and uncles.

My mom is the real motivator for me.From childhood, she has been telling her upbringing stories and the lesson she learned on the way throughout her life. She has constantly inculcated the value of giving back to the society in me, but somehow I  got driven away in the rush life. She working as a medical lab officer in mcgm, use to conduct free medical lab tests and give away medicines to the needy. She tried her best, but somehow due to osteoarthritis, she now couldn't walk and stand as such.It has been a tough period for her since last one year. But the iccha of doing something (she likes teaching kids too) for the society never ended for her.
The habit of giving back is not something which comes to you naturally.I, right from childhood was and is still a reticent person.I didn't like to share thing, even tiffins, with others.Even now, I am a low and underkeeping person, who want to do something good and sustainable for the society, but its all in the mind. The mind, heart, and brain have these things engraved on them which need to be done in real time,  but each part being the egotist, do not coordinate within themselves and the task remains with them subconsciously undone.
Hence, I want to urge everyone, let these minds not control you, and let the action speak better than words/the idea in your mind.I'm not telling to be ascetic and give away all the pleasures of your life donating others, but Let's together be the real power and give a value and true meaning to the word -Altruism.Let's do this together for the welfare of the society, be it eradicating poverty, be it education, or be it empowering people; though with smallest possible effort or involvement by volunteering, raising funds, teaching, conducting recreational activities with street kids, teaching them crafts and what not.Giving back is not a charity, it's our moral duty!
And I'm sure one day this 'we' will bang-up his/her own 'I' - for doing good things in the society.
